Going Green
Today there is a lot of talk about going “green” and being “green”. At Bryson Heating and Air Conditioning we have been taking some common sense actions for years now to minimize our global impact. Here are just a few:
Careful Installation- A system that is improperly sized or installed will use moer energy than one that has been properly installed and started up. Of course that will mean higher utility bills for the homeowner. We take pride in our thourough installation practices and our customers enjoy the benefits.
Compliance with the Clean Air Act- Section 608 of the Clean Air Act states that all refrigerant(Freon) must be recovered and never released into the atmosphere. Responsible HVAC contractors give this law due diligence, as we have since it went into effect in1994.
Disposal of old equipment- Did you know that almost 100% of your old furnace, heat pump, or air conditioner is recyclable? Once the old regrigerant(Freon) is safely removed, we arrange for the removal and recycling of all the old equipment we remove. There is a good chance that your new equipment contains recycled materials made from recycled HVAC equipment. Its the circle of life!
Equipment Selection- We recommend high efficiency systems that will use less energy and save our customers money over the life of the equipment. As energy prices continue to rise, the selection of a high efficiency HVAC system becomes even more important. With the federal government’s current tax credit program, these systems are an excellent choice for long-term comfort and savings.
